Our Plywood Varieties
Plywood is made from thin veneer layers. It is formed by the cross-arrangement of layers and bonding them together under heat and pressure using a phenolic adhesive (PF). Its preference in usage is due to its resistance to cracking, warping, bending, and dimensional changes.
Contrary to popular belief, plywood is a wood panel made from thin layers of wood veneer, bonded together with phenolic resin.
The layers are stacked with their grain directions perpendicular to each other, and there is always an odd number of layers in a plywood panel. As a result, the surface layers have the same grain direction. For special applications, "oriented" plywood can be produced, which deviates from the standard structure. Plywood panels can be coated with hard wood layers, phenolic film, plastic laminate, impregnated paper, fiber-reinforced resin, paint, or varnish.
